A 17-year-old male has been waived up to Criminal Court and will face prosecution as an adult in connection with the 2024 fatal shooting of 24-year-old Resheed Wallace in Jersey City, according to authorities.
Kaison Brown, of South Amboy, is charged with murder, felony murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and multiple weapons offenses.
The charges stem from an incident on May 10, 2024, shortly before 10 p.m., when Jersey City police responded to reports of gunfire near Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue.
Officers found Wallace suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 25 minutes later. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide.
Authorities said two other individuals are also facing charges in connection to the case:
• Makiyy Randolph, 22, of Paterson – Charged with murder, felony murder, robbery, conspiracy, and weapons offenses. He was arrested on July 12, 2024, following a brief foot chase on Gates Avenue in Jersey City. Randolph was additionally charged with obstruction and resisting arrest by flight.
• A 14-year-old female – Charged as a juvenile with murder, felony murder, robbery, conspiracy, and weapons offenses.

Brown’s waiver to adult court marks a significant step in the case as prosecutors pursue charges against all three individuals accused in Wallace’s killing.
