UPDATE: Suspects Wanted for Robbing Bodega in Newark

There is a public request for assistance with identifying two individuals who are wanted for questioning for a robbery and firearm offense that occurred on Thursday, April 15. 

Newark Police said the robbery occurred at a commercial establishment on the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue when two males entered the establishment, with one of the males pointing a silver handgun at employees.

Police say cash was taken from the register while a second male suspect maintained a position at the entrance of the establishment as a lookout.

The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, 5’7” to 5’9” in height, thin build, wearing a multi-colored sweatshirt with a hood that was worn under a dark-colored jacket, a red face mask, olive green colored sweatpants, and white and grey colored sneakers with yellow laces.

The other assailant is described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a red sweatshirt with a hood under a black jacket, red sweatpants, and dark-colored footwear.

 Police say both suspects were seen leaving the area and fleeing northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue.
