UPDATE: Suspects Wanted for Armed Robbery at Walgreens on Ferry Street in Newark

Police in Newark seeks the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with an armed business robbery that occurred Friday.

According to police, shortly after 4:10 a.m., two males entered Walgreens, located at 61 Ferry Street, and announced a robbery while armed with a handgun.

Police said the suspects arrived in a red 2008-2012 Ford Escape then fled on foot, heading east on Ferry Street towards Prospect Street.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying the suspects as part of their investigation.

Police said the first suspect is described as 5’6” tall with a slim build and in his late thirties. He wore a black face mask, gray hooded sweater and gray pants.

According to police, the other suspect is described as 5’2” tall, also with a slim build and in his late thirties. He wore a white scarf on his face and dark-colored clothing.
