UPDATE: Suspects Arrested for Shoplifting $1K of Crab Legs, Steaks from NJ ACME Supermarket

New Jersey

NJ State Police arrested two suspects who were wanted for stealing $1000 worth of groceries from a supermarket in New Jersey.

According to a statement released by NJ State Police, on August 29, at 4:31 p.m., the two men entered ACME in Upper Township Cape May County and stole lobsters, steaks and other items from the supermarket.

Police posted surveillance images of the men and within 30 minutes posting the photos on social media, detectives received a tip, which positively identified Mr. Faustino Colon III, 25, of Millville.

Police say a few days later, on September 3, another tip from a person who saw the social media post identified the second suspect, Mr. Matthew J. Monette, 27, of Galloway Township.

Woodbine troopers charged both suspects with theft and the investigation remains active.

The suspects allegedly used the items for a large family back yard barbecue.
