UPDATE: State Police Seeking Public’s Assistance with Murder Investigation

The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public's assistance with a homicide that occurred in Tabernacle Township, Burlington County on Friday, July 1.

Authorities said at 4:38 p.m., troopers responded to a residence in the township when the victim's father called 911 after he went to his son's home and found him unresponsive, lying on the floor.

An autopsy today by the county medical examiner's office deemed the manner of death to be homicide. Additional details will be not be immediately available due to the ongoing investigation.

Detectives are actively searching for the stolen 2016 white Chevrolet 2500 Crew Cab pickup truck that was rented by the victim. There is a black utility rack affixed to its bed, a Hertz placard affixed to its side, and it has Colorado license plate 24363H2.
