UPDATE: South Carolina Man Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Mount Laurel

An incident where a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Mount Laurel is under early this morning is under investigation.

According to a statement released by authorities, at approximately 3:17am, Mount Laurel Police responded to the area of Route 73 just south of Fellowship Road for the report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

The investigation revealed that a group of people were crossing the north bound lanes of Route 73 when one person in the group was struck by a Chevy Trailblazer the press release said.

The victim was transported to Virtua Marlton Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There are no charges expected to be filed against the driver according to the press release.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mount Laurel Police Traffic Bureau.

The victim was identified as Brian Paoletta, 43, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
