There is now a homicide investigation underway for a shooting that occurred in Piscataway on Friday evening.
Multiple police and detectives from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office responded to the 1700 block of West 3rd Street before 8 p.m. where they located a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
The unconscious and unresponsive victim was rushed to the hospital where he died before 10 p.m. according to reports.
Police set up a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence and a possible suspect.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim at this time.
**UPDATE: 7:21 am Police are now reporting that a male suspect shot his biological brother then fled the scene in a vehicle.**
