The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Trenton early Thursday morning, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.
Authorities said at approximately 1:50 a.m. on April 15, 2021, Trenton police were dispatched to Cunningham Alley and S. Walter Ave. on a shooting in progress.
Responding units located the victim, Kaheem Carter, 22, of Trenton, laying in Cunningham Alley with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
