UPDATE: Shooting Incident in Paterson Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

Another tragic shooting incident this week rocked the city of Paterson when the Paterson Police Department received an urgent dispatch call from the area of Broadway and Rosa Parks Boulevard.

Passaic County officials said the call reported a shooting, leading officers to a scene of chaos and violence.

Police say three victims with gunshot wounds were found at the scene. The first victim, a twenty-three-year-old male hailing from Riverdale, bore the brunt of the tragedy, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Despite the valiant efforts of first responders, the young man was pronounced deceased upon arrival at St. Joseph's University Medical Center.

According to Passaic County officials, the second victim, a nineteen-year-old male from Elmwood Park, suffered a gunshot wound to his torso.

His condition is described as critical, and medical teams are working tirelessly to provide him with the best care.

The third victim, a fifty-seven-year-old male from Paterson, endured a gunshot wound to his leg.

Police said his condition is considered stable, and he is expected to recover from his injuries with time and medical attention.

The investigation into this tragic incident is currently active and ongoing.

As the investigation proceeds, Passaic County officials said more information will be shared with the public when it becomes available.
