Authorities are actively searching for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing earlier today from her home in Kearny.
According to a statement released by the Kearny Police Department, Shirley Garcia Julia was last seen around 11:30 a.m. at her residence on Beach Street.
She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 116 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes.
Shirley was last seen wearing a black top, jean shorts, white Crocs, and a gold heart-shaped necklace.
A photo of the missing teen has been made available on the Kearny Police Department’s official Facebook page.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Kearny Police Department immediately at 201-998-1313 and press zero.
Police continue to investigate and urge the public to stay alert and assist in locating the missing teen.
