UPDATE: Search Continues for Suspect Responsible for BP Gas Station Armed Robbery in Elizabeth

Police officials in Elizabeth announced that officers are continuing their search for an armed suspect who robbed a BP Gas Station in Elizabeth on Thursday morning.

According to a statement released by Elizabeth city Spokeswoman Kelly Martins, the incident happened at approximately 12:45 a.m. where a male dressed in all black and wore a mask, arrived at the BP Gas Station and displayed a handgun then demanded the clerk to open register at gunpoint.

Spokeswoman Martins said the clerk complied then handed the suspect an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene westbound on Bayway towards Mrvalag Manor with a second suspect who was dressed in all black.

The clerk did not suffer any physical injuries according to city spokesperosn Martins.
