UPDATE: Police Release Image of Suspect Wanted for Robbing Woman for $2000 at ATM in Newark

Police officials in Newark request the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted in a robbery that occurred on Monday, June 10th.

According to police, a woman making an ATM deposit at Valley National Bank, located at 167 Bloomfield Avenue, was robbed by a male who approached her from behind and demanded her cash.

Police say the suspect stole $2,000 before fleeing west on Bloomfield Avenue.

According to police, he is described as having a medium build, dark brown complexion, mustache and beard. Police say the suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sunglasses and speaks with a Spanish accent.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him so that he can be removed from city streets.
