The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the South Hackensack Police Department are currently investigating the shooting deaths of two individuals at the Knights Inn at 410 Route 46 West in South Hackensack.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 8:37 a.m. Monday, when officers from the Paterson Police Department approached a room at the hotel pursuant to an investigation they were conducting. After the officers announced their presence, shots were fired inside the room.
Officials say the officers discovered the two bodies when they entered the room. The identities of the two individuals will not be released until their next of kin have been notified.
The investigation is active at this time, and further information will be released later today.
