Police in Trenton took a man in custody who hey believed was armed with a weapon on Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, a significant police presence consisting of local, county state and federal law enforcement officers converged on a neighborhood in the 40's block of Middle Rose Street just before 5:20 p.m.
Officials say they began to negotiate with the suspect until he surrendered just before 11 p.m.
There were reports of shots fired, but police have not confirmed if the suspect fired the shot or if the noise was a mechanism used by police on the scene.
Officials have confirmed that there were no injuries to police during the investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
