UPDATE: Plainfield Police Search for Suspects Wanted for Double Shooting

Police in Plainfield are on the search for a suspect wanted for a double shooting late Friday evening.

Police say at approximately 10:56 pm, Plainfield patrol units responded to the 1300 block of Myrtle Avenue to investigate the sounds of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old man with a none-life threatening gunshot injury at that location.

According to Plainfield Police officials, a short time later, central dispatch received a second call of another injured individual.

Police say a 36-year-old man was located with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Both individuals were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

According to police at the time of this Sunday morning press release, Victim #1 has been released from the hospital while Victim # 2 remains in critical condition.

The Plainfield Police Criminal Investigation Bureau will continue to investigate.
