A Gloucester Township intersection was the scene of a deadly collision Saturday night that left one driver dead and sent two others to the hospital.

According to a statement released by the Gloucester Township Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Berlin Cross Keys Road and Johnson Road in the Sicklerville section of the township shortly after 10 p.m. following reports of a serious crash involving an SUV and a passenger car.
Police said all three occupants, two people in the SUV and the car’s driver, were trapped inside their vehicles when emergency crews arrived.
Responders worked to free them before rushing the victims to a nearby hospital.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the SUV later died from his injuries.
His identity has not yet been released pending notification of family. The other two victims remain hospitalized with serious injuries.
The roadway was shut down for several hours overnight while investigators examined the scene.
As of Sunday morning, no charges had been filed in connection with the incident.
