UPDATE: North Brunswick Man Charged with Stabbing

Police arrested the 24-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a person Monday afternoon.

According to officials, yesterday at approximately 5:17 p.m., units were dispatched to Oak Road for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, units located a semi-conscious male victim in front of that address suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police said the victim - who had no relation to that address - appeared to have collapsed at the point after exiting a nearby apartment complex.

According to authorities, the victim was immediately treated by North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad, Inc. and transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Detectives said the victim was attacked at the North Woods Apartment complex. A short time into the investigation, officers spotted and arrested Jakil Bryant, 24, of North Brunswick.

Officials said he was remanded to the Middlesex County Department of Corrections facing numerous charges. We will not be releasing the victims information.

According to authorities, the victim is recovering from his wounds at RWJUH.

All suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in court.
