UPDATE: Non-Fatal Injuries for Two Victims Struck by Bullets on Mercer Street in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately, 12:47 a.m. on May 19th members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence and Mercer Street on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, the officers located a potential crime scene but were unable to locate any victim(s).

Police say a short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 26-year-old and a 23-year-old male -Paterson residents- arrived at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available officials said.
