UPDATE: NJ Man Charged with Violently Stabbing Female at Hotel in Old Bridge

Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a Manalapan man was charged in connection with the stabbing that occurred on March 3rd at the Hampton Inn in Old Bridge.AfAccording to officials, on March 3, 2024, at approximately 2:57 a.m., the Old Bridge Police Department was called to respond to the Hampton Inn, 300 Spring Valley Road, Old Bridge, with a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officials stated, authorities discovered Christopher Serrano, 42, of Manalapan, stabbing a 55-year-old female victim with scissors.

In response, officers shot at and struck Serrano.

Serrano is currently at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital being treated for his injuries, officials said. 

Authorities say the victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with multiple stab wounds.

She has been treated for her injuries and is expected to make a full recovery, officials say.

Officials stated that on March 3, 2024, Christopher Serrano was charged with first-degree Attempted Murder, fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and third-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
