UPDATE: Newark Police Seeks Public Help to Find Person of Interest in April Shooting

The Newark Police Department is calling for the public's assistance in locating 33-year-old Mr. Quran Bey, who is currently sought for questioning in relation to a shooting incident that occurred on April 8, 2023.AdThe case began to develop when a male victim walked into University Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Following an investigation, police determined that the shooting took place in the 100 block of South 9th Street.

As part of their ongoing inquiry, detectives have reviewed surveillance video footage, which has led them to identify Mr. Bey as a person of interest in this case.

Director Fragé of the Newark Police Department has issued a public appeal for any information regarding the whereabouts of Quran Bey.AdThe department has provided the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) for anyone who might have relevant information.

The department emphasizes that all tips received through the Crime Stopper line are kept confidential and could potentially lead to a reward.
