Police in Newark are reporting that a warrant has been issued for Mr. Erick Majette, 24, of Newark, in connection with an aggravated assault shooting and burglary that occurred today.
Police say shortly after 1 a.m., police responded to the 100-block of Sunset Avenue on a call of a shooting.
According to police, a woman was shot by a man she knows after he kicked in the door of her residence to gain entry.
EMS The transported the victim to University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the woman is in stable condition.
Detectives investigating this incident identified Erick Majette as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest on charges of Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Mischief.
