Essex County officials announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of Mr. Kevin L. Williams, 34, of Newark.
Officials said on Monday, Jan. 3 at approximately 6:58 p.m., Irvington Police received a report of a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds on the 100 block of Cleremont Avenue in Irvington.
When they arrived in the area, they discovered Williams who was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:24 p.m.
At this time no arrests have been made.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
