Police have identified man killed early this morning in Newark.
Police responded to the 300 block of North 12th Street at approximately 1:52 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found Jesus Santi suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:40 a.m.
The shooting remains under investigations by the prosecutor's office.
No arrests in connection with the shooting have been made.
