Newark City officials expressed shock and dismay over the "conduct of professionalism" displayed by a sanitation technician caught on videotape carelessly emptying fluids from a garbage truck onto a street in the city's Ironbound section.
According to a statement released on Friday to RLS Metro Breaking News, city spokesperson Ms. Majorie J. Harris J.D. confirmed that the technician responsible for the alleged behavior is apart of a sanitation team contracted by the city to provide professional services of collecting waste and provide Newark residents with clean and sanitized neighborhoods.
According to spokeswoman Harris, a letter addressed from Newark Department of Public Works Director Mr. Khalil Thomas to the owner of Galaxy Recycling of Jersey City, Mr. Gary Giordano, the actions of the sanitation technician was considered 'egregious' and admonished the overall professionalism of the company by saying the act was done multiple times and the company's inability to act on the incidents are 'offensive and intolerable'.

Immediately after becoming aware of the incident, Newark's East Ward Councilman Augusto Amador took action as he expressed disgust by the incident while responding to concerned residents who lashed out at the technician's behavior on our platform Friday morning. "The video and the article has been sent to the Director. This behavior won't be tolerated in the East Ward or anywhere in The City of Newark" Councilman Augusto Amador said.
