UPDATE: Motorcyclist Killed in NJ-70 Crash in Cherry Hill

Camden Couty authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist on a road in Cherry Hill Thursday afternoon.

Police said that a motorcyclist died in the crash that closed a portion of  Route 70 near Harvard Avenue. 

Camden County officials identified the victim as Mr. Richard Sims, 54, of Cherry Hill, who was ejected, then thrown a distance from the motorcycle in the highway's eastbound lanes when he collided with a Chrysler PT Cruiser around 4:30 p.m.

Camden County Police officials said in a statement on their Facebook Page that officers reopened all lanes of Route 70 around 6:30 p.m.

The official cause of the crash is under investigation.
