Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the murder of Diana Boggio 41, of Belleville.
The female was discovered in the trunk of her Honda Accord at approximately 9 a.m. today at 25 Verona Avenue, Newark suffering from fatal injuries.
Authorities said She was officially pronounced dead at 9:50 a.m. at the scene.
The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy.
She had been reported missing to Belleville Police on Saturday, Jan. 28 at approximately 2:30 p.m.
At this juncture in the investigation it is undetermined where the victim was killed and there is no indication that the murder occurred in Newark authorities.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
