A man accused of stabbing his father early Wednesday morning appears to have a mental disorder.

According to authorities, at approximately 1:40 a.m. today, police responded to the 200-block of Fairmount Avenue on a call of an assault.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed multiple times in the torso.

The suspect - reportedly the victim’s son - was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
