UPDATE: Man Found Lying Facedown Suffering Fatal Gunshot Wounds

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 1:32 a.m. this morning, police officers responded to the area of 968 East 25th Street in the City of Paterson in response to a report of a deceased male lying in the street.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound lying face down in the street.

Police say the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office to confirm the victim’s identity and for an autopsy which will take place later today.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
