Newark

An information request sent to The Essex County Prosecutor's Office regarding a shooting incident that struck and injured a male in Newark's North Ward returned with a confirmed fatality.

According to an official at the prosecutor's office, The Homicide Taskforce is looking into the motive for a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Summer Avenue just before 10:35 p.m.
