Essex County authorities are on the search for a suspect who gunned down two individuals on a street in Newark's South Ward Saturday.
The late-night shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Renner Avenue.
Several 911 calls reporting shots fired in that neighborhood sent police to the scene.
They arrived and found a severely injured male suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
A female was located nearby by police suffering non-life threatening bullet wounds.
Authoritites say the man died a short time later.
The suspect fled the scene at remains at large. No arrests have been reported.
