The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is looking into a shots-fired incident that connected on a teenaged boy causing fatal injuries.
According to preliminary information released from county authorities, at approximately 10 p.m., gunfire rang out on Hoffman Boulevard, rushing East Orange Police to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, police found a juvenile boy suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the young man suffered fatal injuries due to the shooting.
RLS Media learned that the boy was a student at Fresh Start Academy High School.
The motive for the shooting is under an active and ongoing investigation.
