UPDATE: Jersey City Woman Struck by Multiple Vehicles; Fatal Injuries

A fatal pedestrian collision in Jersey City is currently under thorough investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit, in conjunction with the Jersey City Police Department.AdThe incident occurred on Tuesday, December 19, around 5:20 p.m.

Responding to reports of a pedestrian hit near the intersection of Route 440 and Danforth Avenue, Jersey City Police discovered the lifeless body of Ms. Billiah Mogusu, 58, a resident of Jersey City.

She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after their arrival.

Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that Mogusu was tragically struck by multiple vehicles.

While several of these vehicles remained at the scene, the vehicle initially responsible for the collision is believed to have left the area.Ad Investigators from the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit are actively seeking further information to piece together the events leading up to this tragedy.

The Jersey City Police Department is assisting in this effort. The authorities are urging anyone with relevant information, or who was in the vicinity at the time of the collision, to come forward and contact the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor at 201-915-1345.
