UPDATE: Irvington Township Resident Charged with Hit-and-Run of 13-Year-Old Boy

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers reported today that Mr. Odaniel Exima, 54, of Irvington, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly hit and critically injured a 13-year-old boy from Irvington on Saturday.

Police said on Saturday at  9:47 a.m., police were notified of a hit and run involving a pedestrian on the 1100 block of Grove Street in Irvington.

Officers arrived and found the boy suffering from injuries.

He was transported to University Hospital in Newark and listed in critical condition.

Exima was charged with Knowingly Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Bodily Injuries and Endangering an Injured Victim.
