UPDATE: Hudson Prosecutor Probes Death of 50-Year-Old Man in Union City

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said at approximately 6:15 a.m. today, members of the Union City Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive male in the first-floor apartment of a residence on Palisade Avenue and 21st Street in Union City.

According to Suarez, upon their arrival, officers located an unresponsive 50-year-old male and a second male performing CPR on the deceased, who was officially pronounced dead at 6:27 am at the scene.

The manner of death has not been released at this time.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Union City Police Department are actively investigating this death, which is pending determination of cause and manner of death by the Regional Medical Examiner.
