Passaic County officials have announced that the victim in the February 10, shooting in the area of Oak Street and Martin Street in Paterson has died from the injuries she sustained in the shooting. The victim, Nasreen Yahsi from Hawthorne, was 41 years old.
According to police, at approximately 1:50 a.m. on February 10, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Dover Street and Oak Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
Police said that upon their arrival, officers were unable to locate evidence of a shooting, nor a shooting victim. While checking the immediate area, officers located Ms. Yahsi in the area Oak Street and Martin Street.
According to officials, she had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment in critical condition.
Ms. Yahsi succumbed to her wounds and died at the hospital on February 11.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
