Hudson County authorities are investigating a mass casualty incident that left four people shot in Jersey City Saturday afternoon.
According to a preliminary investigation, police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Drive and Virginia Avenue around 4 p.m.
Reports say officers arrived and taped off the area after locating multiple shell casings and a male suffering bullet wounds inside a store.
While police collected evidence at the scene, Jersy City Medical Center officials alerted authorities that three gunshot victims had entered the emergency room.
The most severely injured victim suffered a bullet wound to his chest.
Officials say their conditions have not been reported as fatal at this time.
Jersey City Police officials are leading the investigation.
No arrests have been reported.
