UPDATE: Gunfire Kills Man in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 1:09 a.m. on October 30, 2018, police responded to the area in front of 700 East 28th Street in the City of Paterson in response to a call of shots fired.

Officials say upon their arrival, officers located Mr. Patrick Brown, 25, from Paterson, lying in the street near his car which was parked on the side of the road.

Mr. Brown had obvious gunshot wounds and was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 1:17 a.m. according to authorities.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
