Somerset County Authorities have identified the 19-year-old killed in a crash involving an electric motorcycle and another vehicle earlier this month.

According to Franklin Township Public Safety Director Lloyd N. Fredericks, the victim was identified as Mr. F. Alogaili, 19, of Franklin Township.
Police said officers responded to Route 27 and South Middlebush Road at approximately 1:28 p.m. Saturday, August 15, following reports of a collision involving a two-wheeled vehicle and a car.
Alogaili suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical personnel, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said Alogaili was traveling south on Route 27 when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn from northbound Route 27 onto South Middlebush Road.
Police initially reported that Alogaili was riding an e-bike. However, a follow-up investigation by the department’s Traffic Safety Bureau determined that the vehicle was actually an electric motorcycle and did not meet New Jersey’s statutory definition of a low-speed, pedal-assisted electric bicycle.
The Franklin Township Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
