UPDATE: Four Shot, 15-Year-Old Girl Dead in Paterson Mass Shooting

Passaic County officials reported that on May 11,  at approximately 10:20 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the area of Madison Street and Essex Street in the City in response to a report of a shooting.

Upon their arrival, they discovered a 15-year-old female, from North Haledon, lying in front of 36 Essex Street.

Officials said the female had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four additional victims, a 29-year-old, a 26-year-old male, a 32-year-old male, and a 21-year-old male all from Paterson also suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, and were treated at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for their injuries.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
