UPDATE: Five Men Arrested for Fairview Fatal Shooting

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of Mr. Carlos Burgos, 19, of Jersey City, and Mr. Raul Torres,18, of North Bergen on charges of Felony Murder, Murder, Conspiracy To Commit Robbery, Robbery, Unlawful Possession Of A Weapon, and Possession Of A Weapon For An Unlawful Purpose.

Officials say they have also arrested Mr. David Martinez,18, of North Bergen and Mr. Lexie Burke, 20, North Bergen, on charges of Felony Murder, Conspiracy To Commit Robbery, Robbery, Unlawful Possession Of a Weapon, and Possession Of A Weapon For An Unlawful Purpose.

Police say, Mr. Dylan Rodriguez, 18, of North Bergen, on charges of Hindering Apprehension, Possession Of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, and Unlawful Possession Of A Weapon.

Police say Saturday, June 29, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a resident, later identified as David Duque-Soto, of 215 Fourth Street in Fairview, NJ was dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The investigation revealed that all the men went to the victim’s residence, with firearms, intending to steal drugs and money.

During the commission of the robbery, the victim was fatally shot.

Officials say after the shooting, Burgos met with Rodriguez in North Bergen and gave him a firearm used in the murder.

Police say, Rodriguez took the weapon and concealed it inside a private residence.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
