UPDATE: Fatal Shooting Incident in Trenton Draws Mercer County Task Force and Trenton Police

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force, in collaboration with the Trenton Police Department, is actively delving into a tragic shooting incident that resulted in a loss of life in Trenton.

According to a statement released by The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, shortly after midnight September 2, 2023, Trenton law enforcement responded to a distressing call reporting a male gunshot victim within the 200 block of Brunswick Avenue.

Arriving at the scene, officers met an unresponsive male in an empty lot, displaying signs of having sustained a gunshot wound.

Urgent medical attention was rendered as the victim was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where, regrettably, he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Mr. Ronald Taylor, 40, a resident of Trenton.

Currently, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident, and the investigative process remains ongoing.

Officials are urging anyone who possesses relevant information to come forward and aid in the resolution of this case.
