On This Mother's Day, Search Continues for Missing Newark Mother Venika; Essex Sheriff Offers $5K for Information

On this Mother's Day, our staff continues to remember and ask the public to give any tips or information for Ms. Venika Williams, who has been missing -without a trace- for over 5 years.  

Essex County authorities continue to offer a reward of up to $5,000 for information regarding the disappearance of Newark mother Williams, 28, who went missing on December 22, 2017. 

While the Essex County Prosecutor's Office leads the investigation, they seek information from the community for leads in the case. 

Williams was last seen in the area of Dewey Street in Newark.

Missing

She is 5 feet, three inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

Since this reward was offered in 2018, The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has taken over the case. 

Authorities have been no updates from Mr. Theodore N. Stephens II, Acting Essex County Prosecutor, regarding the investigation.
