Essex County Prosecutor reported today that the East Orange Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal shooting of Mr. Troy Traynham, 59, of East Orange.
According to county officials, on Saturday, Sept. 18, Traynham was shot outside his Chestnut Street apartment.
Officials said Trayham was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:48 p.m.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
