UPDATE: Early Morning Shooting Kills Glassboro Man

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation and search for a gunman who fatally shot a man in Glassboro Friday.

​The preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately 1:06 a.m., officers from the Glassboro Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of University Boulevard for a report of gunshots.  

According to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, units arrived and cleared several occupants from the residence and located a male deceased in a bedroom on the second floor.

 Authorities identified the victim as Mr. Travon A. Barker-Bordley, 22,  of Glassboro.  

​An Autopsy of Barker-Bordley conducted on December 9, 2022, by Gloucester County Medical Examiner Dr. Gerald Feign ruled the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death as a homicide.  

Officials say while the investigation remains ongoing, there is no ongoing risk to the local community.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said the incident did not impact, nor occur at, Rowan University.
