An early morning crash that involved a fire department vehicle in Newark had emergency responders on the scene.
The crashed happened at the intersection of Central Avenue and First Street a little after 6:20 a.m. when a Newark Fire Department SUV collided with a vehicle at that location.

Rescue crews assisted one person out of the fire department vehicle while other rescue personnel helped at least one victim out of the badly damaged car.
All of the injured were transported to University Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
