NJ State Police are continuing to investigate the cause of a crash that injured a motorcyclist on an interstate in Bergen County on Saturday night.
Police officials say the crash occurred at 10:12 p.m.on Interstate 80 eastbound in Hackensack, Bergen County.
Preliminary information indicates that in the area of milepost 66.8 local lanes, a Yamaha motorcycle and a Mini Cooper were involved in a crash, causing the driver of the Yamaha to be ejected.
Police say the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was transported to Hackensack Meridian Medical Center in serious condition, but the driver of the Mini Cooper was not injured.
According to police, the local eastbound lanes were closed for approximately three hours and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
