A Burlington County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Interstate 295 in Burlington County, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers were dispatched to the northbound lanes of I-295 near Exit 45A in Westampton at approximately 12:10 a.m. following reports of a motor vehicle crash.
A preliminary investigation found that a 39-year-old Burlington man was traveling northbound in a Toyota passenger vehicle when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle lost directional control.
The Toyota then left the roadway, struck a curb, and collided with a tree near the exit ramp area.
The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead as a result of the crash, authorities said.
State Police have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
