UPDATE: Boyfriend of Montclair Fatal Stabbing Victim Remains At-Large

Newark --Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti announced today Kenneth Jones of Montclair has been charged with the fatal stabbing of Tameeka Johnson, 41, also of Montclair.

Police say on Nov. 12, Montclair Police discovered the victim in the Greenwood Avenue home where she resided with Jones.

Authorities say before police arrived, Jones fled the scene and remains at-large.

Police charged. Jones with murder and weapons offenses.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The investigation, which is active and ongoing, is being handled by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and Montclair Police Department.
