Authorities today announced that the body of the swimmer who disappeared in Sandy Hook was recovered this morning.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. the body of the unidentified 25-year-old man was found in the water near Lot C at Sandy Hook Beach.
An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
The man disappeared around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday off Sandy Hook after him and his girlfriend went swimming in an unprotected area of the beach.
