Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose have announced that the 16-year-old male, who was fatally shot in Newark on March 31, 2017, has been identified as Malik Bullock, of Newark.
The 17 year old male, who was shot during the same incident, remains hospitalized in stable condition, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly.
The name of the surviving victim is not being released for security reasons.
The investigation is active and ongoing according to Fennelly.
